Interactive Postcards 🎨
I designed the back of three informational postcards, each showcasing specific parts or locations of the ship. Augmented Reality (AR) elements complement the information on the back, making it engaging.
The back of each card includes details about the ship’s sustainability efforts and history, along with a QR code for Adobe Aero. When scanned, the code brings the AR infographics to life, providing an interactive way to visualize key concepts.

Impact & Takeaway 🌱

SDG 4: Quality Education
One visitor shared that her daughter has a strong interest in sustainability and would enjoy seeing our postcards. She mentioned showing them to her daughter, which made us reflect on how our project could spark intergenerational learning.
By making topics like the SDGs more accessible and engaging, our project supports SDG 4’s goal of promoting inclusive and quality education for all.

LA OurCounty Goal 9
We showcased the Queen Mary’s innovative energy reuse, waste minimization, and water management practices.
These historical examples serve to educate people on sustainability while fostering awareness. By highlighting these practices, we aim to motivate individuals to reflect on and incorporate more sustainable habits into their daily lives.

What I learned
This project taught me the importance of teamwork in bringing an initiative to life. It also helped me refine my skills in project management and interactive design while contributing to a meaningful cause.
Through this project, I discovered that many people were unfamiliar with the SDGs. This made me realize the importance of spreading awareness about global challenges like climate change, which affects us all. I believe that even small actions can make a difference, and I hope to play a role in advocating for environmental awareness and inspiring positive change in the future.
Update: Featured at the Green Generation Showcase (April 2025)📸
We presented our project at CSULB’s annual Green Generation Showcase, an Earth Day celebration highlighting student-led sustainability projects. I designed the poster, prepared our display setup, and shared the project with visitors throughout the evening.
It was a great opportunity to engage the public, spark conversations around sustainable storytelling, and connect with fellow changemakers.
