I started working as a social media design intern at ConsumerDirect and was then promoted to graphic designer, creating creative assets to help improve people’s financial literacy.
ConsumerDirect aims to help consumers achieve their financial dreams with the best credit, money, and privacy technology using their product called SmartCredit. SmartCredit is an app that lets people control their future credit scores so they can get a car, house, and loans.

SmartCredit Conference 2023
With the slogan “Ahead of the curve,” SmartCredit’s first-ever conference aimed to bring financial experts and business owners together to lead the industry.


Our design team was responsible for the theme to represent the slogan, “Ahead of the curve” and California. and my design was selected for the theme. I intended to create “the curve” by creating the lines with photography and vectors to encourage people to continue their financial journeys.

Social Media Research and Revamping
Project Goals
Analyze their competitors’ presence and social media performance. Make a deck and present it to the creative director and marketing manager to create a new social media strategy.
Challenges
The brand wanted to maximize digital marketing, and the marketing team wanted to update its social media to be modern and well-suited for potential users.
Research Method
I conducted a competitive analysis of 5 brands (platforms used, target audiences, brand identity/visuals, tones, imagery styles, photography, reel content, influencer marketing, etc.)
Research Insight 🔍
The major discovery was that SmartCredit social media needed more content variety, as they did not have any reel content besides their influencer videos. Also I found out that other competitors use different media types, including vectors, photography, and both combined.

Design Solutions✨
After the research project, I closely collaborated with the social media content writer, and we started to create content with stock images, graphics, and the SmartCredit app’s UI elements into our feed in addition to in-house reel content.

Email Design
I designed various emails – SmartCredit’s features, a follow-up email series after sign-up, holiday campaigns, action-oriented emails, educational emails, etc. Given email copy docs, I observed some successful email examples, designed eye-catching hero images, and created infographics and imageries where visuals were needed. Also, I assisted in building and optimizing emails in Braze, ensuring they were mobile-friendly and displayed as they were designed in Adobe XD.
